We are a 501.c.3 that was started as a group of like minded people in 1986.
With a goal of keeping the history of the Rutland railway alive by providing a free to the public museum of the local railway history .
we open the museum every Saturday to the public. which consist of historical railway items including locomotive bells, tools, and our caboose. we also have a collection of model trains donated by members past and present. There is also a library with a collection of historical railway books and documents
we have as well a working ho scale and n scale train layouts built and funded by our members.
Our Membership is full of people who want to help preserve and enjoy our museum. Members get together every Wednesday and Saturday to work in the museum or on the model railroad layouts.
